AXIS P85 Series

Reliable identification
Having video that captures a good view of a person’s face is key in criminal investigations. Unlike many camera installations that provide a bird’s eye view, the cameras inAXIS P85 Network Camera Series are designed to look straight at a person’s face for more reliable identification. The series offers eye-level, pinhole cameras installed in a pipe or height strip housing for placement near exits of buildings. Enabling discreet, indoor video surveillance, AXIS P8514, AXIS P8524and AXIS P8535 Network Cameras are ideal for retail, hotel and banking environments.

Different form factors
AXIS P8514 comes in three, floor-to-ceiling pipe versions: black, chrome and white with a metric or imperial height indicator to enable eyewitnesses to gauge the height of a person. The camera inside the pipe is placed at a height of 160 cm (5.2 ft) with a 57° horizontal field of view.

AXIS P8524 and AXIS P8535 have a rectangular form factor in black or silver with a height indicator in metric or imperial measurement. The sensor unit, which comprises the lens and image sensor, is mounted at a height of 170 cm in the metric model and 5.5 ft in the imperial version. AXIS P8524 offers a 57° horizontal field of view. AXIS P8535, meanwhile, provides a wide 92° horizontal angle of view and supports Wide Dynamic Range – Forensic Capture, which enables superb performance in scenes with high-contrast lighting and backlight. The sensor unit is then connected to a main unit, which can be placed elsewhere and out of public view.

HDTV
The feature-rich AXIS P8535 provides HDTV 1080p video. Besides WDR – Forensic Capture, AXIS P8535 supports two-way audio, RS232 for integration of external data to the video, four configurable input/output ports to external devices for enhanced alarm management and a full-sized SD card slot for local storage of recordings.

AXIS P8514 supports full frame rate 1 megapixel or HDTV 720p, whileAXIS P8524 provides HDTV 720p, input/output ports and a microSD card slot.

AXIS P85 cameras allow for easy installation. The viewing direction is adjustable and they support Power over Ethernet.
